“So you going to stop drinking then?” with that question these fools I call friends burst into an uncontrollable laughter. I had just told them I was getting serious about living an organic lifestyle. To be honest I hadn’t thought about alcohol. Organic vegetables are grown locally and I have my source for grass fed beef, organic corn fed steroid free chickens. I didn’t think about the hooch. Making a mental note to get new friends, I retreated to the study with my laptop.

My drink of choice is Malt Scotch, with my preferred distillery being Glenmorangie. So I hit the internet to see what my options were. I’m glad to say there most certainly are options. Although the first organic scotch I found made me think I might have to quit drinking. Bruichladdich The Organic 2010 is $130 a bottle. My second selection was the $400 Black Art Single Malt Scotch. Just as I was thinking I was going to have to start making organic moonshine out the back. I stopped playing games and went to the Whiskey Exchange site. I found a single malt by Highland Harvest for $38.80. Highland Harvest also have an Organic Blended Malt for $30.48. I’m definitely open to trying new things and the Vulson Old Rhino may be one of those new things at $69.67
”Vulson’s rye has now come of age and can be called whisky. It is made at Domaine des Hautes Glaces in the French Alps from organic rye, grown, malted and distilled on site. Aged for a year in French oak followed by three more in Cognac casks, this is powerful, spicy and full of minerality.” I cannot wait to try it.
So onto the Cognacs. Hardy’s is an organic cognac I have heard of before. I ordered it based on that and the online description. “This Cognac offers rich aromas and flavors, yet still remains light and easygoing. Concentrated tones of milky caramel and hazelnut on nose and palate are offset by lemon peel acidity and an espresso tinge, yielding a versatile spirit to sip or mix. “

The cognac expert blog has an excellent article on organic cognac which I recommend just click on the link. Www. Based on the article I also ordered the Pasquet L’Organic 10 Grande Champagne Cognac which is of XO quality, here’s the description. “The Pasquet L’Organic 10 Grande Champagne Cognac is a delightful XO quality that’s certified totally organic (Agriculture Biologique FR BIO10). Made solely from eaux-de-vie from the premier cru of the region – Grande Champagne – this offers truly remarkable value for money for such a Cognac.
Pasquet have masterfully produced this Cognac that manages to walk the ultra-thin line between power and finesse – balanced and structured with delicoius notes of ginger, cocoa, orange, tobacco, and gingerbread.
Presented in a contemporary style bottle, this certified 10 year old Cognac is a wonderful staple addition to any quality drinks cabinet.”
I’m not a big vodka drinker but it is a staple of any well stocked bar. Puffy doesn’t make an organic Ciroc so it was back online.

An Organic Vodka I have heard of is Ocean Organic Vodka so that was a definite order. They donate a portion of their profits to conserve the world’s oceans. It’s made with deep ocean mineral water and sugar cane. I’m really looking forward to trying this vodka.
Not to put all my eggs in one basket and because I’m a little biased. I also ordered Utkins UK5 Single Estate Organic Vodka. King Charles gave them a royal warrant. It’s made with pure water and organic grain. I look forward to it residing in my freezer.
I think that’s a pretty good start. Stay tuned as I continue to build my organic bar. Don’t be afraid of going organic there is a very nice selection of organic liquors on the market. I look forward to reviewing them in the coming weeks. It’s a hard life but someone’s gotta do it!😂🤣😂🤣
